Megami Device SERIES 4 – SOL ROAD RUNNER メガミデバイス SOL ロードランナー
This is the second Megami Device model kit that I have built. This is a build and review video, with introduction to the kit, showcasing the runners, and finally giving my thoughts on the kit after building her.
The side cover displays the completed mode for SOL Road Runner. Do note that you will need SOL Hornet to be able to complete FULL BATTLE MODE. SOL Road Runner only has the extra parts for the lower half of the body.
The other side shows the 3 faces included as well as the waterslide decals provided.
Here is a close up of the waterslide decals. They provide 6 pairs of eyes, as well as other decorations to apply on the armor.
The cover art of the included booklet is as beautiful as ever. Collecting these booklets is almost as fun as building the kits themselves!
The included booklet showcases the completed model kit, and also various configurations with the included accessories. Unfortunately, this kit is quite limited in the accessories section. Only providing the sword-like weapon, and perhaps the helmet, if you consider it an accessory.
The included runners are high quality, as expected from a Kotobukiya kit. Using a regular snipper will suffice to cut the pieces off cleanly. The included base is nothing to shout about, just being a wobbly round base with a single support stand to hold the SOL Road Runner.
There are many extra parts left over, especially with Runner E. Runner E is shared by Megami Device WISM kits, so hopefully in the future I’m able to make an extra girl with these parts.
Here’s a look at the faces and hands. There’s a wide range of expression in the hands, so you should be able to find the ones you are looking for.
Overall, it’s a relatively simple build. It does have enough parts to assemble a separate head, and legs. This is definitely a welcome move by Kotobukiya, as it makes it much easier to kit bash later down the road.
Well, thanks for reading!
See you in the next post!!
